Can you hear the noise of the Tartan Army boys?

RNID Scotland urged the nation’s football fans to consider whether they could be missing out on the full impact of the ‘Hampden Roar’ or the Tartan Army’s repertoire of inspirational songs.

Former Scotland star, Alan Rough backed the campaign and said: “Hearing the Scotland fans sing always brings back treasured memories of matches I’ve played in and it’s an experience you never want to miss. I’m supporting RNID Scotland’s Breaking the Sound Barrier campaign to encourage people to dial 0845 600 5555 and make sure you’re getting the full enjoyment of hearing all the great sounds at football matches.”

Delia Henry, Director of RNID Scotland, said: “If you’re finding it increasingly difficult to hear the lyrics of the Tartan Army’s songs, make out stadium PA announcements, or you need to turn up the television volume to follow match commentaries, perhaps it’s time you took RNID’s simple, confidential, five-minute telephone hearing check. This first step could help you along the road to hearing more clearly and ensure you don’t miss out on hearing the noise of the Tartan Army boys!”

Janet Hopkins, representative of the Association of Tartan Army Clubs, said: “I love hearing the Hampden Roar every time Scotland score as well as all the Tartan Army’s funny and uplifting anthems. I’d urge all Scottish football fans to take RNID’s telephone hearing check and make sure you can fully hear ‘Doh A Deer’!”
